Career Pathways Program
Lisa Smith is married with 3 kids. She and her husband were having a hard time supporting their family on his one income. Realizing she would need some education to get a good job she came to Career Pathways to fulfill her dream of getting an education in Emergency Medical Technology. This area of Allied Health has always fascinated her and her fascination grew even further when she started her Certificate of Proficiency in EMT.
She completed the certificate program very quickly and began work right away as an EMT for Lusby’s Ambulance Service. She finds the career very rewarding, loving the day to day excitement of helping others in a time of crisis. She still works for Lusby’s and is planning on continuing her education in this pathway to achieve her Associates Degree in Paramedic Science.
