Clark County

Created two years after the successful roll out of the Phillips County Delta Bridge Project, the Clark County Strategic Plan was formed. In 2007, Clark County released a 10 year comprehensive plan that would encompass an ambitious transformation of the county. With the initial support of 500 Clark County residents, the Clark County Strategic Plan has leveraged more than $65 million dollars. Of this leveraged amount more than $9.5 million in direct grants and loans were awarded from Southern.

The Clark County Strategic Plan is supported by individuals, businesses, and foundations as well as local, state and national leaders. Some of the projects supported by the Clark County Strategic Plan include:

  • The Economic Development Commission of Clark County
  • Arkadelphia Regional Economic Development Alliance
  • Clark County Business Retention and Expansion
  • Clark County Leadership Program
  • Arkadelphia Promise
  • Southwest Arkansas College Preparatory Academy
  • Clark County Boys and Girls Club
  • Clark County Charitable Health Service
  • Rally on the Ravine Event
  • Diamond Lakes Regional Visitors Center
  • The expansion of miles of biking and hiking trails
